FOR  PARENTS

We believe engaging parents is as important as the work with do with their children. For parents and caregivers we offer:

  • Expert led workshops
  • Lending library / bookstore
  • Support groups
  • Dad’s only group

HOW WE DO IT

To enable students who learn differently to find their passion, Empowerment Lab provides them with opportunities to explore art, music, video gaming and physical games to name a few. But the real “special sauce” is the flexibility of our programming. Whatever a student can dream up we will offer it. If a student says, “I’ve always wanted to learn about astronomy,” we will find a mentor to help that young person learn about the stars. With the help of technology our reach is boundless, and the possibilities endless.

Research shows that LD youth who become empowered, end up with more positive life outcomes, such as staying in school longer, enrolling in higher education and forming healthy peer relationships.
